Lavender, a beautiful blue-violet flowers is mostly known for its sweet fragrance and a hint of lavender essential oil can prompt several sensation.
Lavender is the most used essential oil in the world. It has been used for medicinal and religious purposes in antiquities. The Egyptians used it for mummification and as a perfume. The Romans used it for bathing, cooking and for scenting the air.
I have been using the essential oil for more than a decade and valued its fragrance and versatility. I also added the essential oil in my bath and homemade skin care products and have witnessed the benefits as reduces anxiety and emotional stress; heals burns and wounds; improves sleep; restores skin complexion and anti-aging with powerful antioxidants.
I have been using lavender flowers as a tea for a couple of years and became quite fond of it; but I wouldn’t imagine using it to flavor my mead ጠጅ till recently.
This lavender flavored tej has a delicate fragrance of the flower and a pronounce liquorish nuance that entices your palate.
Since lavender flower is well-known for calming and comforting effect, this tej - ጠጅ is an excellent cocktail to provides warmth and comfort. Fancy on its own for a little after dinner treat; here all you need is your glass shoot [not your brile - ብርሌ], because a little goes a long way.
