Traditional legume stews - የጥራጥሬና የሽሮ ወጥ

The flavor of these spicy legume stews on display is enhanced by the caramelized onions plus all the different exotic spices and chili powder (berbere) በርበሬ deglazed with  tej  ጠጅ - Ethiopian style honey mead.

As a result, loaded and more complex, making you beg for seconds. 

We all know the downside to going for seconds. I suggest a strong, hot ginger tea or a glass of tej ጠጅ (Ethiopian style honey mead or Tella ጠላ​ Ethiopian style black beer) after your meal. And there is always Beano or gas X.
