Lavender is the most used essential oil in the world.  It has been used for medicinal and religious purposes in antiquities. The Egyptians used it for mummification and as a perfume. The Romans used it for bathing, cooking and for scenting the air.

I have been using the essential oil for more than a decade and valued its fragrance and versatility. I also added the essential oil in my bath and homemade skin care products and has witnessed the benefits as reduces anxiety and emotional stress; heals burns and wounds; improves sleep; restores skin complexion and anti-aging with powerful antioxidants.

I started using lavender flowers as tea a couple of years ago and became fond of it; but I wouldn’t imagine using it to flavor my tej ጠጅ -  homebrew Ethiopian style honey mead till recently.
