I love the fresh ginger - lemony pungent aroma that wafted in my nostril when grated. For years, fresh ginger was something I used in my cooking, which beautifully complements a range of dishes from sweet to snnavory. It can be a dominant flavoring, or it can work in conjunction with other flavors.
Ginger can also be infused into milk and cream to make a mild to tangy custard or ice cream. Ginger's tea rejuvenating, soothing and invigorating qualities are naturally warming. It also supports healthy digestion.
My home-brewing adventure inspired me to think outside the proverbial box of my standards cooking and discover new ways of using ginger as tej flavoring and I was pleased to learn that ginger has few limitations.
